What you are getting is the ability to draw from a massive international intellectual base to bear on one particular problem."
- "FAST can make connections between academia and between government, between people and civilizations and cultures."
- "Our mission is to help Fulbrighters interact with each other so that they can do their work better, and hopefully, as a result of that, have a greater impact on the lives of others."
The Fulbright Academy of Science & Technology is an international network and think-tank established by alumni of the Fulbright Exchange Program. Every year the Fulbright Exchange Program invests in the talents and aspirations of some 6,000 students, researchers, professionals, teachers and scholars from around the world. By traveling overseas to study, teach or conduct research, these select individuals are challenged to use the power of learning not just for themselves, but also for the larger purpose of understanding others and building connections among people.
The alumni of this prestigious program and their colleagues play a critical role in advancing education, reserach, policy and commerce. FAST was created to help build ties among these indivudals and their institutions. (Click for a list of institutional members.)
This video features several members of the FAST board of directors plus others interested in FAST, such as:
