Berlin ConferenceWe are approaching our limit of 150 people for the "Fulbrighter in Science Conference", which will be held in Berlin, Germany on the weekend of 4-5 March. We have fewer than 20 spaces remaining. The conference is being attended by grantees, alumni and scientists from 23 countries: Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Korea, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Palestine/Gaza, Peru, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, and Yugoslavia. The panels will cover topics such as Science policy, Teaching science (especially in K-12 classrooms), Basic engineering & science research, Science & international development, Medicine/Biology, and Internet for education. We also have S&T oriented tours, including visits to a major TV broadcaster, the new European School for Management & Technology, and the Berlin Medical Historical Museum. In addition to panels, presentations, and tours, we also will have a closing reception with over 250 current Fulbright grantees from all over Europe in all disciplines - sciences, arts and humanities. There is also a special welcome program on Friday evening for the early arrivals. During the conference we will be collecting video footage and conducting one-on-one interviews for a documentary on the impacts of the Fulbright program. If you would like to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. We have 15 spaces reserved for Fulbright grantees, alumni, and the public. We also have several complimentary registrations available for alumni of DAAD exchanges. The cost to participate is 160 Euros ($185), with discounts available for some. Please be a memberAfter three years of operation, the Fulbright Academy has a growing membership base. By joining the Academy, you will be supporting our work - our conferences, the study committees, and our Fulbright Forums. You will receive invitations to special events, and we also help members link up with other Fulbrighters in their respective fields. Individual memberships are $60, with reduced rates available for students, retired individuals and those living in low- and middle-income countries.
